I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach in the USA, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Estonia, and Finland. I have been working as a diversity educator, classroom teacher, language & arts teacher and most recently teaching nonviolent communication (NVC). Often with my installations, I integrate workshops so that everybody is actively building with each other and within the space. Regardless of the subject, I believe that having a playful and creative approach to the subject is beneficial for everybody.
Some projects I have developed that include children are Dear You Art Project, Story Data, and Let It Out.

You are an integral part of the process and your voice propells inspiration.
I am so honoured to have been a part of Ole hyvä Helsinki, a project where teenagers made artworks for every metro stop in the city. I led the group in Kontula where they made artworks based on the collective theme, empathy. The work they made was so very meaningful that I continued to get compliments from people on how the work at Kontula metro station was inspiring new thoughts as they waited for the train to come. The works were on view until spring 2018.
Ole hyvä Helsinki -taidenäyttely metroasemilla. Yli 400 suurta mainostaulua kymmenellä helsinkiläisellä metroasemalla täyttyvät helsinkiläisten tekemistä teoksista, joissa käsitellään empatiaa erilaisista näkökulmista.

Below are a series of pictures from my Storyboard and Soundtrack workshop / Kuvakäsikirjoitus- ja äänitystyöpaja, which was specially designed for Espoo Cine's family day at Tapiola's Culture Centre. In this workshop, we drew storyboards for our collective movie and then worked with musicians to create a score for the participants' story! I first held storyboard group workshops and then Tapiola Sinfonietta created a live score to the visual images. Below you can watch the video Jeroen Sebrechts made from the final images and score. This workshop was held on May 6, 2017.
